Cyber threats and vulnerabilities are constantly emerging in today’s rapidly growing cyber environment. Cybersecurity is one of the most serious economic and national security challenges for the nation. The United States can further prepare to defend against cyber threats. Research and analysis in new, proactive cybersecurity approaches and enhancements in operational due diligence (i.e., maintaining and securing current systems) are vital to addressing this national security concern.
Securing the world's critical resources against cyber-physical attacks
- Establish the Proactive Cyber Defense Range, a facility for cyber security representatives to be trained on and test Proactive/Moving Target Defense technologies
- Build partnerships between labs, academia and industry to design an experimental or simulated model to connect areas including Vehicles (V2I or V2V), Water Industrial Control Systems, Power Generation and Transmission, Small Networks, Corporate Networks and Manufacturing
- Establish a user facility allowing open access to researchers to a Cyber-Physical Testbed with the ability to be configured in scenarios allowing for the design, evaluation, and research of new proactive defense technologies!
